Tiger Woods 2000 US Open at Pebble Beach Victory Fist Pump Panoramic Original Photo, Negative & Rights From Tom Treick
At the crack of dawn professional Tom Treick, with his pro-grade camera and stand went straight to the 18th hole. Treick had been a photographer for years with a strong emphasis on golf, both working for Peter Jacobsen as his eyes and The Oregonian newspaper - but this Sunday was different. Setting up with very few around, Treick was poised to capture the perfect panoramic victory shot of golf's best who was 10 strokes ahead of the rest. The only unknown was Tiger Woods' celebration and exact time that it would occur. The forgone conclusion was a big wire-to-wire win in which he had played perfect golf along the Pacific Ocean. As if he casted a line and was waiting for the fish, the professional Trieck was patient and in ready position when it happened. Tiger Woods widened the lead from 10 to 15 with the final round and gave Tom Treick and the history-witnessing gallery his 'Money Shot' first pump after knocking in the final putt. The celebration for not just Tiger Woods, but hundreds surrounding the green would be shot with the wide highly-calculated frame here. The USGA branded scoreboard was included on the left side on the horizon line between the slightly raised 18th green and the water in which it sits next to. Boaters can be found in the water in the middleground of the composition, with mountains running horizontally in the background. It was Tom Treick's finest moment as a photographer on the course, visually documenting the energy that Pebble Beach had in that moment of victor - including champion Tiger Woods. The now retired Tom Treick looks back fondly on that day and after 23 years would not like to share not only the original photo, but negative and licensing rights to his incredible feat of photography.
This is without a doubt one of the finest visual's from Tiger Woods' record-breaking 2000 US Open win. A signed letter of provenance transferring the rights to reproduction of this photo for any reason will accompany two gold marker Tom Treick signed photos of different sizes along with the negative and those rights. 14 12/" x 11 1/2"
