Here is the final of that short production run of the GSS 2000 US Open Scotty Cameron victory putters - #24! German Stainless Steel just like Tiger used to win what many consider his most dominant tournament ever. "Wire-to-wire" quickly sums up the happenings on the scenic coast of the Pacific Ocean at Pebble Beach, ending with a four round score of (-12) 272. The year 2000 was the peak of Tiger Woods dominance over the field, and the 100th U.S. Open was no exception, as Woods would win by the extremely comfortable 15 strokes. This became the most dominant performance by any golfer at a Major championship, leading after all four rounds. When it comes to victory putters, it has been said that industry giant Scotty Cameron takes the utmost pride in his workmanship and continuously acknowledges players who achieve greatness in the game using one of his putters. As he should. The limited edition celebrated Tiger Woods' runaway victory at the 100th U.S. Open in 2000. The putter features a Newport II blade-style head constructed from milled stainless steel. The sole is engraved with the text 2000 United States Open Victory, SCORE 272, and TIGER WOODS, alongside a facsimile signature and a logo featuring a stylized house shape containing the text 100 TH above a flag pattern. The face of the putter is engraved with No. 024 OF 272 MADE and CAMERON, and it includes a circular red translucent cherry bomb insert. The grip is embossed with the Titleist name and a crown-shaped logo. A silver Titleist sticker is present on the shaft. This lot includes a Scotty Cameron Certificate of Authenticity, registry number A-067474, dated September 8, 2023. The certificate identifies the item as Tiger Woods 2000 US Open Victory putter No. 024 of 272. The limited production run of 272 units corresponds to the record-setting winning score achieved by Woods at Pebble Beach during the tournament. Tiger victory putters are drying up, with this year being the 25th anniversary of the duel. This example includes the Scotty Cameron certificate of authenticity. 34" length
