These three white pages of paper (8 1/2 X 11) emanate from the collection of 1930's and 40's PGA player Felix Serafin. The 95 fountain pen signatures appearing over these sheets were obtained from contestants in the 1940 Anthracite Open which Serafin appeared in. Signature strength ranges from "7-10" with most hitting at the upper level of this spectrum. Of a condition note one of the three pages sides has turned over along the left side of the sheet, but does not extend into any of the signatures on that side. Each page on the reverse has fastening stickers (5 1/2 X 1/2) at the top which also would not impact the side which the autographs appear on. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this lot and provides their certification on the authenticity of these signatures. Highlights of the three pages of Who's,Who in professional golf just prior to World War II include, but I'm sure are not limited too:
Gene Sarazen, Ed Oliver Jr., Byron Nelson with notation PGA Champ 1940, Fred Corcoran, Sam Snead, H G Picard, Jack Grout, Lawson Little, Felix Serafin, Ray Mangrum, Dutch Harrison, Paul Runyan, Horton Smith, Jimmy Hines, Ky Laffoon, Ed Dudley, Ralph Guldahl, Joe Turnesa, Jim Turnesa, Ted Kroll, Jimmy Thompson, and Lew Worsham.
