The Country Club at Brookline Scorecard Professionally Scored from 1913 US Open Playoff with Ouimet Win
Few golf championships have impacted the game more than the 1913 U.S. Open held at The Country Club. A young man named Francis Ouimet did the unthinkable - he beat the world’s greatest golfers on the biggest stage imaginable. Presented here is a scarce period scorecard from the 1913 U.S. Open playoff involving Vardon, Ray and Ouimet. A hole by hole account of the scores resulted in the Ouimet victory. Here is your chance to own an important and rare piece of golf history - a hand recorded scorecard filled out in detail contemporaneous with this historic event. Please note the back of the scorecard it affixed with some adhesive to an album page. We believe it can be removed from this page with professional conservator assistance. Sourced from a time period scrapbook which contained other sporting events of the area including Harvard football.
