T.D. Currie Dornach Challenger Rustless Metal "S" Special Flange Putter
Clubmaker and Donald Ross' successor at Royal Dornoch, Tommy Denholm Currie's name is stamped on this club. The Scottish clubmaker moved to Ohio eventually, becoming head pro at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. Currie was mentioned in Sandy Herd's autobiography as a playing partner of JH Taylor when squaring off in a 1922 fourball challenge. This flange putter includes numerous head stamps, including T.D. Currie Dornach, a knight illustration, challenger and the rustless metal label. This club is in good condition. 33 1/2" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
