St. Andrews The Old Course Commemorative Pewter Hip Flask
This commemorative hip flask is constructed from polished pewter and honors The Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. The front of the vessel features an engraved map of the course layout with numbered holes, accompanied by a decorative banner reading ST. ANDREWS -The Old Course-. Below the map is a historical inscription detailing the founding of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club in 1754 and the granting of the course to the citizens of St. Andrews in 1552. The reverse side displays a detailed Card of the Championship Course, providing a scorecard with yardage and par for holes 1 through 18, totaling 6,933 yards and a par of 72. Below the scorecard is a chronological list titled The Open Championship, documenting the years the tournament was hosted at St. Andrews from 1873 through 1995. The flask is equipped with a screw-down captive top. A copyright symbol and the word Copyright are visible on the lower right edge of the reverse side.
In honor of Brad Roberts, this lot has been generously donated with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Brad Roberts Memorial Trust for Riley, supporting his family and celebrating his legacy within the golf collecting community and honoring a founding member of The Golf Auction.
