Spalding Bros Kro-Flite 'Single Waterfall" F-6 Mashie Niblick Dedstop Patent Club
Featuring pronounced grooves in this single waterfall face pattern, this F-6 Mashie Niblick is stamped on the head. The R & A outlawed the Waterfall clubs in the early 1900's. The single waterfall scoring was a refined version of William Reach's double waterfall idea. Having the ribs a more pronounced arc made the controlling of a short shot easier. After notorious golfer's such as Francis Ouimet and Howard Whitney (President of the USGA) began stating their displeasure over the "Jerko" club, it was eventually disbarred from play in the following months. Spalding's Kro-Flite and signature bird head stamps are present. The club is in very good overall condition, detailed in the listing photos.
