An assortment of silver commemorative spoons featuring enameled and engraved motifs related to golf clubs and regional travel. The group includes a spoon with a blue enamel shield and crossed clubs, marked on the reverse with the characters W, J, D for William James Dingley of Birmingham, an anchor, and a lion passant; the bowl is engraved L.G.C. 1935. Another spoon features a shield marked DUKINFIELD GOLF CLUB on the reverse, also bearing the marks for William James Dingley. A third spoon for the Priory Golf Club displays the characters B, &, W on the stem for a Birmingham maker such as Barker and Wigfall, accompanied by an anchor, a lion passant, and the date letter Y. Additional items include an enameled Sonning Golf Club spoon, a twisted-stem spoon engraved SENIOR AUG 1916 on the reverse, and a souvenir spoon marked STERLING featuring an enameled golfer and a bowl engraved with scenes of Naples, Maine. The items are constructed of silver with various enamel applications and engraved details.
The items exhibit general tarnish and light surface wear consistent with age and use.
