A group of sterling silver souvenir and commemorative spoons, primarily featuring golfing motifs. The collection includes various terminal designs: four spoons depict crossed golf clubs and balls, with one featuring the initials P.B.G.C. One spoon is designed with a detailed figural golfer in mid-swing. Another specimen features a pierced ring-link handle and an engraved bowl depicting a coat of arms and the word EASTBOURNE. One spoon bowl is specifically engraved Y.G.C. 1ST CLASS BOGEY JUNE 1924. Hallmarks on the reverse include the mark of Levi and Salaman, Birmingham, 1923 (L and S, anchor, lion, y); Walker and Hall, Birmingham, 1926 (W and H, lion, anchor, b); and William Thomas Hall, Birmingham, 1923 (W.T.H., lion, anchor, y). Other spoons in the group bear various combinations of the Birmingham anchor and lion passant sterling mark with diverse maker and date letters.
The items exhibit a natural aged patina with visible surface tarnish and light scratches consistent with age and handling.
