This collection consists of various silver and silver-toned commemorative souvenir spoons relating to regional golf clubs. The group includes examples for the Bridlington Golf Club, Coventry Golf Club, Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club, The Royal Hong Kong Golf Club, Beeston Fields Golf Club, and Springfield Park Golf Club. The spoons feature decorative finials with enameled or relief-cast crests depicting various motifs such as animals, beehives, and golf equipment. One spoon is inscribed on the reverse MONTHLY MEDAL MARCH 1914. The Royal Hong Kong Golf Club spoon features an elongated bamboo-style stem. Regarding marks, the Bridlington Golf Club spoon bears the letters G, A, S followed by a lion passant and a leopard head mark, indicating London sterling silver. The stem of the tall Hong Kong spoon is marked STERLING. Other marks are present on the reverse of several bowls but are not clearly legible.
The items show varying degrees of tarnishing and surface wear consistent with age and use.
