Paraded through New York City was the 'Famed citizen of Atlanta,' as Bobby Jones is was described by the media for the July 2, 1930 'Big Apple' Ticker-Tape celebration concluding the first two legs of his Grand Slam. Returning to the states from his overseas wins at The British Amateur at St Andrews followed by the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, this lot contains seven matter photos from the journey back that include him with his wife Mary, Walter Hagen, walking in the parade itself, and shaking hands with NYC dignitaries.
