Set of Eight Antique Hickory Shaft Golf Clubs Including Banner and Burke Maker Marks
A set of eight antique golf clubs featuring original hickory wood shafts, dating to the early 20th century. This collection consists of one wooden-headed club and seven assorted irons. The wood features a dark-stained head incised BANNER on the crown and a metal sole plate marked 45 secured with five screws. The iron heads feature various specialized face patterns and loft designations. Markings include BANNER 7 DEGREE PUTTER, BANNER 20 DEGREE MIDIRON, BANNER 30 DEGREE JIGGER, BANNER 35 DEGREE MASHIE, and BANNER 50 DEGREE NIBLICK. The 50 degree niblick is designed with a vertical-grooved face. One club is a waffle face mashie niblick marked for Burke Rotary. Two additional irons feature smooth backs, with one bearing the BANNER mark. The Banner line is produced by the Kroydon manufacturer. Most clubs retain black thread whipping at the hosels. The set is accompanied by several handwritten collector identification tags providing historical context and specifications for the items.

Each lot will get its own 30 minute clock, which will extend by 30 minutes any time that lot receives a bid during extended bidding.
