Set of 6 Tom Stewart St. Andrews Hickory Shafted Antique Golf Irons
This set of 6 antique golf irons was hand forged by renowned cleekmaker Tom Stewart of St. Andrews, Scotland. The collection includes a 1 Iron, 2 Iron, 3 Iron, Mashie, Mashie Niblick, and Niblick. Each forged carbon steel head features the registered Tom Stewart pipe brand cleek mark along with an oval maker stamp reading T. Stewart Maker St Andrews. Additional stampings include Special, Hand Forged in Scotland, and TS St A Reg Trade Mark. The backs of the heads also bear a vertical retailer stamp for professional Andrew Kay. The 1 through 3 irons feature line-scored faces while the Mashie, Mashie Niblick, and Niblick utilize a dot-punched waffle pattern face. All clubs are fitted with period hickory wood shafts and dark leather wrap grips. The soles and backs of each club are personalized with the stamped initials J D W beneath a horizontal bar.
