Twenty-five signatures from nearly 100 years ago fill up both sides of this album page collecting John Hancocks of some of the now tough to come by Open and Ryder Cup players, each preserved in time-period pencil likely compiled by a young member of the UK golf tournament gallery long ago. These include, with a snapshot of their credentials: Gene Sarazen (American, 1932 British Open winner, 7 majors, one of 6 players to win each of the 4 majors, 6 Ryder Cup teams), Sir Thomas "Henry" Cotton (37 pro wins, 3 Ryder Cup teams, British Open winner 1934, 37, and 48), Leslie Cotton (Henry's brother), Alfred Harry Padgham (21 pro wins, 1936 Open winner, 3 Ryder Cup teams, 1936 Captain of PGA), Archie Compston (10 pro wins, 3 Ryder Cup teams), Percy Allis (25 pro wins, 4 Ryder Cup teams, first father and son in the Ryder Cup with his son Peter Alliss), Arthur Lacey (6 pro wins, 2 Ryder Cup teams, twice chairman of PGA), Joe Ezar ("The Clown Prince of Golf", golf trick shot specialist), Raymond Oppenheimer (British businessman & golfer, 1951 Walker Cup team captain), George J. Voigt (American, 3 Walker Cup teams), Roland MacKenzie (American, 3 Walker Cup teams), and J.H. "Harry" Busson (brother of Jack Busson, golfer and golf club maker).
