Royal Doulton 'Golf - A Good Game For Two' Small Vase

The Doulton family started making pipes and sanitary fittings in 1815, later enlisting local artists to design tableware and fine collectibles. Doulton was granted the Royal Warrant in 1901, and continues to make fine glassware to this day, now a part of the Waterford Wedgwood family. Here is a small vase with the written phrase "Golf - A Good Game For Two" on one side and "From 10 A.M. to 6:45 PM This Dog Has Been Kept Out. Where is the S.P.C.A.?" on the other. Preserved to boast strong coloring and very little paint chipping or scratching, as shown with great detail in the accompanying lot photographs. The lady and gentlemen golfers can be found sitting on one side, with the dog waiting with a different couple on the backside of the dual-handled piece. 4 7/8" x 3"
