Rocco Mediate's Personal Match Used Stamped PING Eye-2 1-9 Iron Set
"Pingtour made the best 1-irons ever. Ping EYE2 should be hung in the Louvre" Rocco Mediate posted on his Instagram in July of this year. This complete set of 1-iron through 9-iron custom stamped 'ROCCO MEDIATE' on each hosel as closely depicted in photo #9 are matched-used by Mediate and that specific line of clubs he was referencing. How did these come to be? Our consignor acquired these from Pat Chisholm, whom told this story about his relationship with Mediate and this prized iron set.
"The Ping irons that have Rocco Mediate stamped on the hozel were given to me from Rocco. Rocco and I played on the same college golf team at Florida Southern College and in 1987 Rocco had a deal with Ping and he gave me that set of irons. Rocco was always very generous with clubs to me over the years giving me multiple sets, putters, irons, etc. By the way, I used the irons Rocco gave me to win the 1987 Michigan Amateur at Belvedere in Charlevoix, MI.,"
