Ray Floyd's Signed Official Used 1995 PGA Seniors Championship Winning Scorecards
The Sports Illustrated title for the April 24 article recapping the 1995 Senior PGA Championship accurately portrayed the work of one of golf's ultimate closers, "Runaway Ray for Raymond Floyd there was no looking back as he won the PGA Seniors' Championship in a Romp." Detailing this win over 72 holes is his actual, winning set of four round scorecards signed by Floyd in pencil on the competitor line. It was a revenge tournament for Floyd, as the year prior he had soaked his ball at the PGA National 15th par 3 hole to lose his seemingly comfortable lead to Lee Trevino who wouldn't look back. Floyd didn't look back in 1995, "You've got to put those things in the
past,'' And I did.'' Floyd's victory over Trevino and the field was five strokes for his tenth Senior Tour win. The 11-under 277 total performance was as his (famous) caddie for the tournament would state, "As well as anyone I've ever seen."
