Probst USA “Sterling Silver” Putter
During the 1950's -60’s the C. E. Probst Manufacturing Company made these highly presentable “Westpoint” putters, casting the heads out of the precious metals gold and sterling silver. Never quite meant to be playable as the soft metal would be easily damaged, these putters were more than likely offered as gifts. This particular putter was an employee gift from the B.F. Goodrich Company to ‘Tommie Tomlinson, June 7, 1963’ for presumably being the sales leader for the month, quarter or year in 1963. The actual amount of precious metal is difficult to determine. A great 'Sunburst' design embraces the face of this unique putter. MARKED West Point and Dyna Weight, orig. steel shaft, and leather wrapped grip 37"
