President George W. Bush “43” applied an autograph across the sweet spot of this official Rawlings American League Baseball. Few will ever forget The Commander and Chief throwing out the opening pitch after the tragic events of 9/11/2001 at the Yankees World Series game, a country-rallying moment far more powerful than sport. The owner of the Texas Rangers has just as deep of roots in our sport. Golf and family ties to the game run deep for George W. Bush. The Walker Cup is named after George Herbert Walker who was president of the USGA in 1920 when the first match was initiated. Walker is the grandfather and namesake of George H. W. Bush and great-grandfather of George W. Bush, the 41st and 43rd Presidents of the United States. It is of course what the W. stands for as well, legible in this signature with both loops. The ball itself is a Bobby Brown, President of the American League (AL) from 1984 to 1994, and likely signed by W. during his Texas Governor days from 1995-2000 just after.
