Phil Mickelson Signed Titleist 4 MasterCard Colonial Logo Golf Ball - Rare

The difficulty factor on Tiger Woods signed golf balls has been well stated in the golf collecting community. He just has not signed them since his first year on Tour in 1996. Flying somewhat under the radar while this has gone on is the fact that the harder signed golf ball is that of his career foil, Phil Mickelson. Lefty has NEVER, yes using the word never carefully, signed a golf ball during his pro career for the general public at a hotel, a sponsors lunch and certainly not at a tournament site. An added part of this scarcity deals with the timing of these two top talents amateur careers. Golf autograph collecting was picking up steam in the early to mid 1990's and with this Tiger signed a number of golf balls during his standout amateur days 1994-96. Meanwhile Phil's amateur days 1989-92 came before many autograph chasers had turned to the golf course in pursuit of signatures. Combine this with the knowledge that Mickelson as an amateur was far more difficult to obtain on golf balls then Woods. Now you the collector can understand the reasons why Phil signed balls are so seldom seen. Demanding a whole new definition of difficulty not scarce, like Tiger's signed ball, but accurately stated as, RARE. The PGA Tour would call Mickelson full time in 1992, and two things that remain absolutes since that time are first that Phil would be a fan favorite signing freely for all who asked but secondly steadfastly standing by his policy of NEVER signing a golf ball. A unique opportunity for the autograph golf ball collector, and most likely the one time chance for the U.S. Amateur ball collector to have a Mickelson in their collection. Phil Mickelson has five career Major victories and is still just a US Open title away from joining Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Tiger Woods, Gary Player, and Gene Sarazen as the only golfers to complete the career Grand Slam. Mickelson has three times won the Masters Tournament (2004, 2006, & 2010), further adding to his repertoire. This great opportunity to own a golf ball signed by Mickelson is here and now. His signature comes with a full letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA) #X78916.
