Phil Mickelson 1992 US Open 1st Rd Debut as Pro Official Scorecard - PSA/Beckett Dual Cert
The fresh face of amateur golf simply couldn't lose. 'Highly-decorated' would be selling 1990-1992 Phil Mickelson short. His resume leading up to this pro debut? Just three-consecutive NCAA individual Championships, along with three Haskins Awards, becoming the first lefty to win the US Amateur in 1990 and only the sixth amateur to win a PGA Tour event at the 1991 Northern Telecom Open (Tucson Open). After graduating with a degree in Psychology at Arizona State University Mickelson would keep walking, straight on to the PGA Tour. The galleries were more than ready for the chosen one to compete for checks! The brightest of lights shined down on the popped collared lefty's Pro Debut at of all places Pebble Beach, at the US Open on June 18, 1992 - a mere two days after his 22nd birthday!
Incredibly, here is competitor Phil Mickelson's FIRST PROFESSIONAL actual used and signed scorecard from the very first round of his pro debut! Mickelson has won six majors, including three Masters tournaments during his World Golf Hall of Fame career. He missed the cut in 1992 at the US Open, therefore not playing the final two rounds. Mickelson has publicly praised Pebble Beach and more recently won the 2019 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Bid to win this piece of history, an entry from both the debut and tournament-used categories!
