Palmer, Watson, Player, Floyd & More Signed Graeme W. Baxter 2001 UBS Warburg Cup Kiawah Island Artist Proof Golf Print
The Warburg Cup was a team golf tournament involving two teams, one from the United States and another team representing the "Rest of the World." The tournament ran from 2001 to 2004. This multi-signed Baxter print is from the inaugural UBS Warburg Cup held at Kiawah Island, signed by captains Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and each of their players. The full list of signers is as follows: US - Mark Calcavecchia, John Cook, Raymond Floyd, Scott Hoch, Hale Irwin, Larry Nelson, Mark O'Meara, Arnold Palmer, Dana Quigley, Loren Roberts, and Curtis Strange.
International - Gary Player, Nick Faldo, Ian Woosnam, Bernhard Langer, Sam Torrence, Isao Aoki, Frank Nobilo, Jose Maria Canizares, Denis Durnian, Stewart Ginn, Ian Stanley, and Desmond Smyth. The rules were that six golfers on each side had to be 50 or over, and the remaining six had to be in their forties. It was sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the European Seniors Tour. Like the Ryder Cup, the competition was a mixture of foursome matches, four ball matches and single matches.
