Payne Stewart Signed Matting with Painting
Bart Forbes works are some of the most acclaimed in his field with representations appearing in top magazines including Time and Sports Illustrated. In 1986 he was the recipient of the Sports Artist of the Year Award presented by the American Sport Art Museum and Archives. This lot contains the original painting of Payne Stewart produced for a set known as "Golf's Greatest Card Set". This was a 1992 issue of Todd Mueller and has since gone by the shortened name of "Mueller Golf Set" in the hobby. The highly desired autograph of Payne Stewart (D-1999) has been placed at the bottom of this matted work of art.
Frame measures 15 1/2" x 22" while the stunning, vibrant painted image of Stewart measures 6 3/4" x 10 1/4" with Bart Forbes adding his signature to his work in lower left hand corner. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this lot, and their letter of authenticity will come with it. One of a kind opportunity is presented with offering.
