The subjects are standing outdoors at Interlachen Country Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The reverse features a typed paper caption from the Associated Press Chicago office dated July 10, 1930. The caption identifies both men and provides their first-round scores, stating that Jones shot a 71 and Hutchison shot an 80. Ink stamps on the back include Associated Press Photo From Chicago and Caution Watch Credit.
