Official Ryder Cup Trophy Travelling Wood Box Used to Transport THE Ryder Cup
Think of the best traveled individuals you know. They may have nothing on this deluxe custom case which was used by the PGA of America to transport the Ryder Cup between Europe and the United States during the 1960's-1970's. This lockable travelling case measuring 8" x 10" x 19" with it's blue velvet interior still intact housed the highly valued champions trophy from golf's most famous team competition on its cross Atlantic trips. Bottom of box still displays remnants of a label from previous shipment. Top contains original identifier plate, 'THE RYDER CUP'. If you are among the fortunate few to own a Ryder Cup, what an addition to your display this original case used by the PGA would make. Letter of Provenance from PGA of America Historian comes with this lot.
