Moe Norman's Personal Used Lynx Golf Bag "The Straightest"

Up for auction is Moe Norman's Personal Used Lynx Golf Bag "The Straightest." Simply put, by both Sam Snead and Tiger Woods publicly in different ways, Moe was widely considered the best ball striker who ever lived. His accuracy, his ability to hit shot after shot perfectly straight, gave him the nickname "Pipeline Moe." The talent was also a mystery when it came to his thoughts, actions and going about life. Norman didn't consider himself a celebrity and preferred to stay out of the spotlight. This bag once had electrical tape on it where the white of the bag on the large pocket reading 'Moe Norman - The Straightest.' Unlike other leading pros, Norman wanted it that way, allowing him to add tape if some started peeling off. This bag comes from the collection of the Assistant Superintendent of Smyrna Municipal Course. There the Canadian would come down from his home during the winter to play golf. Norman slept in his car each night. Each morning the Assistant Superintendent was in charge of waking him up to get him ready for the day of entertaining the golfers that came to the course for a chance to talk to him. Through a friendship, Norman eventually gifted his then play bag to this individual, his way of saying thanks for what you have done. The electrical tape of then removed later while in a pro shop. The story gives a glimpse of the man Moe Norman, kind and non conforming.

This bag is a LYNX, containing overall wear from many rounds and lessons of use by norman, with as mentioned earlier, the white outline of his name and nickname refering to his ball striking ability 'The Straightest.' Take a look at Picture 4 for a closeup of this.

Place your bids now as this auction will end at 9:00pm ET Sunday, August 9th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. When placing initial bid, you must agree to the terms before confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
