Miller, Wendell P. Collection of Professional Engineering Papers and Reprints. 1928-1930.
A collection of technical engineering documents, magazine reprints, and promotional flyers primarily authored by Wendell P. Miller, Drainage Engineer and Soil Technologist. The group includes several printed items focused on agricultural engineering, specialized drainage, and irrigation systems for golf courses, cemeteries, and airports. One significant item is a softcover reprint titled The Second Problem: Drainage by Wendell P. Miller, Drainage Engineer, published by Wendell P. Miller and Associates, Columbus, Ohio, and reprinted from Airports, November 1928. Other materials include a group of leaves from Agricultural Engineering, Vol. 11, No. 3, March 1930; an article titled Turf Maintenance in Cemetery Operation by Wendell P. Miller from The American Cemetery, June 1930; and a feature titled Drainage: The Foundation of Economical Maintenance from Chicago Golfer. The collection also contains a single-sheet typed promotional flyer on tan paper for the Miller One-Man System of One-Man Fairway Irrigation, which lists business offices for Wendell P. Miller and Associates at 105 W. Monroe St. Chicago, 85 E. Gay St. Columbus, and J. Alberdi 699, Olivos F.C.C.A. Buenos Aires. Several documents feature photographic portraits of Wendell P. Miller and are illustrated with technical charts, diagrams of soil particles, pH scales, and mechanical equipment. Handwritten marginalia in pencil and blue ink is visible on several pages, including notes such as 2+3 pages, Williams Master, and Soil Testing..
