Miller Barber Used to Win the Marathon 144 Hole 1973 World Open Championship - Longest in PGA Tour History!


Here is Miller Barber's winning Hogan Co. Apex ball saved by the PGA of America from the tournament that many thought would never end! In 1973, Miller Barber won the World Open Golf Championship, which on the links of Pinehurst was the longest regulation tournament in PGA Tour history! After 144 holes, Barber won by three strokes over Ben Crenshaw, shooting a 570 for the inaugural event. To make sure and save the correct ball they included the Miller Barber winning World Open ball adhered label below Miller Barber written in black sharpie just above.
