Contained in this lot is Mark Calcavecchia's Personal 2002 Ryder Cup Team Issued & Used Golf Bag - '2001.' The Ryder Cup was originally scheduled to be played from September 28-30, 2001, but was postponed one year due to the September 11th tragedy. The Belfry hosted the contest in 2002. Calcavecchia finished the matches with a 5-5-1 during his fourth and final appearance in the Ryder Cup for the US Team, who fell to Europe 15 1/2 to 12 1/2. The USA Team bag has a metal nameplate with the etching "2001 Ryder Cup" that was kept on the bag in remembrance. The Patriotic leather bag is embroidered throughout and four sided, with three US flags and an additional three full Ryder Cup logos. The base is adorned with a Bald Eagle profile.
