Mackenzie and Macleod. Two Golf History Volumes. 1997-2000 Signed by Authors


This lot consists of a pair of hardcover books focused on the history and traditions of Scottish golf. The first volume is titled A Wee Nip at the 19th Hole by Richard Mackenzie, published by Sleeping Bear Press, Chelsea, Michigan. This octavo volume is bound in green publisher's cloth and includes its original dust jacket, which features a monochrome historical photograph of St. Andrews caddies. The front endpaper bears a blue ink inscription: To Robert - ENJOY YOUR 'WEE NIP'! R Mackenzie 27/5/98. According to the copyright page, this is a second printing, dated December 1997. ISBN 1-886947-38-4. The second volume is A History of The Royal Dornoch Golf Club 1877-1999 by John Macleod, printed and published by Moravian Press Ltd., Elgin, 2000. The book is bound in hardcover and retains its original dust jacket depicting a landscape view of the golf course and the club crest. The title page is signed by the author, John Macleod, in blue ink. The copyright page identifies this as the first edition, published in 2000. ISBN 1 870151 10 0.
