Lux Clock Manufacturing Company Golf Theme Lithographed Tin Pendulum Clock and Stand
This is a vintage American novelty pendulum clock featuring a golfing motif, manufactured by the Lux Clock Manufacturing Company. The clock body is constructed of lithographed sheet metal with a green-toned scene depicting a golfer and a caddy with a bag of clubs in a landscape setting with a clubhouse and trees. The clock dial is a cream-colored diamond shape with black Arabic numerals and a winding aperture at the 12 o'clock position. The base of the clock face is marked The De Luxe Clock Mfg. Co. New York, U.S.A. The back of the internal brass movement is stamped Lux Clock Mfg. Co. Inc. Waterbury, Conn. U.S.A. Patents Pending. The item includes a detachable molded composition stand with a dark faux-wood grain finish, featuring a diamond-shaped plaque reading De Luxe Clocks. A weighted circular pendulum and a separate metal winding key are also present. 4 3/4" x 2" x 8 1/2"
