1948 North and South Amateur Golf Championship Runner-Up Clock - Frank Stranahan


After posting the low score in qualifying, Frank Stranhan breezed through his early match play rounds until the 36-hole final where he faced the 22-year-old Harvie Ward. Stranahan fell to the local favorite in a tense match with the slimmest margin of 1-up recorded by Ward. For his runnerup finish Stranahan received the clock offered here with inscription:
