1950 Gof-fer Award Trophy - Kansas City Golf Association - Frank Stranahan
Instituted in 1948 by Kansas City Golf Association were yearly awards honoring the professional and amateur golfers of the year at their annual dinner. Frank Stranahan was the recipient of the award as top amateur golfer of the year in 1948, and was so honored again for the 1950 season. The award he received is offered in this lot which takes on the image of a gopher cast in metal and finished in gold. The National golf award known as the "Gof-fer carries as was engraved on the front base of the trophy.
Base is 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" and stands 17" tall
