Sterling Southern Collegiate Golf Runner-Up Champion Medal with Ribbon - F. Stranahan
The 19-year-old Frank Stranahan a student at the University of Miami played in the 1942 Southern Collegiate golf tournament advancing through qualifying and early matches until he fell 7 and 5 in the finals to Grover Poole of Duke. For his Runner Up finish in the matches held at the Athens Country Club in Athens, Ga Stranahan received the medal offered here which bears the following inscription:

Sterling Dieges & Clust medal measures 1" x 1 1/2" and carries time period image of golfer resembling Bobby Jones.
