Orville Moody's 1970 Memphis Open Used Scorecard
Match used scorecard of Orville Moody from Sunday round, May 31, 1970 of the Danny Thomas Memphis Open. Moody had captured fame the year before when he won the 1969 U.S. Open at Champions Golf Club. Moody's Sunday round 71 at the '70 Memphis Open gave him a 280 for the week some 12 shots behind winner Dave Hill. His playing partner that day and scorer,was Jerry Heard who had his finest season in 1972 when he was 5th on the yearly PGA Tour money list and posted wins at the Florida Citrus Open and Colonial National Invitation. James Spence Authentication has reviewed these two autographs, and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
