Bing Cosby National Pro-Am Plate
From the Jack Fleck collection comes this 7 3/4" diameter by 1" high Courac plate. A gift from his day's competing in the Bing Crosby National Pro-Am this plate displays the mastercraftsmans hand inlaid wood logo of tournament on front, and original care instructions of item on reverse from the Couroc company headquartered in local Monterey, California. The Coroc company was formed in 1948, and their products have become and remain collectible because of their high quality and beauty. Courac was very high end and only sold by top merchants. The company worked with several trophy and award manufacturers to produce many award items, especially for golf tournaments. That is the origin of the lot offered here which was undoubtedly well received by the high end celebrity crowd which Bing Crosby was drawing to his tournament in the 1950's and early 1960's when Jack Fleck played in the event.
