Bobby Jones 1930 Amateur Championship at St Andrews Post Swing in Final Match Wire Photo

This stunning black and white photo captures Bobby Jones post-swing during his "impregnable quadrilateral" at the 1930 Amateur Championship. It would be the final match as he defeated Roger Wethered for the first leg of Bobby's incredible Grand Slam. This photo carries the onion skin typed caption on the verso, along with stamping and marking expected for a wire photo example. This crystal clear shot has small surface scratches, expected for a photo that was media used and dates to nearly a century ago. Jones' 1930 season remains one of the most improbable feats in all of sport, with this photo an eye-witness account of his first of four consecutive major victories prior to retiring from the game of golf on top.
