Binder of Original 1963 Ryder Cup at East Lake CC Photos - Sargent Family Collection
Captured by on-hand tournament photographer's camera lens was this collection of visuals recapping the 1963 Ryder Cup events for matches officiant Jack Sargent, the head club professional from the neighboring Peachtree Golf Club at that time. With unlimited access at East Lake CC that week, and both established and long-lasting friendships with many of the competitors, Sargent is depicted shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of familiar faces Arnold Palmer, Tony Lema among other golfing legends in these black and white photos. This gold gilt hardbound album comprised of never seen before full page images is labeled "1963 Ryder Cup Matches East Lake Country Club Atlanta Georgia - Jack Sargent." Wear consistent of paging through and admiring from both Jack and his family and friends is evident , with the bonding now loose from the covers.
