1984 US Senior Open Championship Contestant Pin - Jack Fleck
This 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" contestants pin which belonged to Jack Fleck carries the same traditional design which the United States Golf Association began employing for its Championships beginning with the 1960 Mens U.S. Open. The U.S. Senior Open which was first contested in 1980 is recognized as a major by both the Champions Tour and the European Seniors Tour. Miller Barber would conquer the Oak Hill course and closest competitor Arnold Palmer to claim the 1984 title. Barber excelled at the event winning the Championship also in 1982 and 1985. The events only three time champ. This example bearing the name of 1955 U.S. Open champion, Jack Fleck, remains in near mint condition.
