Cary Middlecoff Signed 1949 Medinah US Open Program

Cary Middlecoff with brilliant second and third rounds of 67 and 69 over the tough layout of Medinah's Number three course just outside Chicago, Illinois saw his large lead be challenged over the final fourth round by Clayton Haefner and Sam Snead. Though challenged, Middlecoff held on for a one stroke margin of victory over both his pursuers. This lot offers a near-mint hard bound presentation issue of the 1949 U.S. Open program from Middlecoff's first of two U.S. Open (1956) titles which highlighted his Hall of Fame career.
