1979 The Country Club at Brookline Hard Cover Club Year Book
This offering contains a 1979 year book from the Country Club of Brookline. The cover boasts an emerald green color, characteristic of The Country Club of Brookline (Green & Primrose), as well as the club emblem The Squirrel. There is slight overall wear. Established in 1882, The Country Club was one of the five charter clubs that founded the United States Golf Association on December 22, 1894. In 1913 the club was host to the US Open, won by the unlikely amateur champion Francis Ouimet. Curtis Strange won his first of back-to-back US Open titles in 1988 at famed The Country Club of Brookline, MA. Now The Country Club (Brookline) is hosting the 2022 US Open.
