Francis Ouimet Signed 1932 'A Game of Golf' 1st Edition Book JSA ALOA

Deserving recipient of the moniker "Father of Amateur Golf" and winner of the 1913 US Open at Country Club, Brookline's own Francis Ouimet penned his name in this prized first edition copy of 'A Game of Golf.' This signature and inscription was performed with his chosen writing implement on the title page. Creating one of the most storied victories in golf history, Ouimet was victorious at his home course of The Country Club as Brookline. Adding to the lore was Ouimet's chosen partner in crime, famously employing 10-year old caddy Eddie Lowery, with the image of the pair walking with the bag that day is looked back on when remembering that day. This green hardcover book is in very good condition as shown in the accompanying lot photos. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
