"Golf Architecture in America: Its Strategy and Construction" by George C. Thomas, Jr. This is a reissue of the first Edition that was initially published in 1927 the Times-Mirror Press. Any fan of golf, the architecture, or both would need this book as a great addition to their collection. Illustrated throughout and contains many early pictures of places such as Pine Valley. George Thomas Jr. was born to a wealthy banking family in Philadelphia in 1873 and died in Beverly Hills in 1932.
