Tom Watson had Jack Nicklaus' number in the 1977 calendar year, following up a Masters Tournament victory over the Golden Bear by winning the 1977 Open Championship over Nicklaus in what is known as the 'Duel in the Sun.' Watson would win the tournament, held for the first time at Turnberry, by a single stroke in what some have called the greatest Major ever played. Nicklaus would win 18 major tournaments, spending more time in the major tournament winner's circle than any other golfer. 10 1/2" x 12 1/2"
