Tiger Woods & Team Signed 2003 The President's Cup Hat - The DiMarco Collection

The star-studded United States Team roster from the Captain to the final pick for the 2003 Presidents Cup included generational golfers Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. Filling out the fourteen signatures from the US squad includes a soon to be major champion in Phil Mickelson, along with that year's US Open champion Jim Furyk, along with David Love III, Justin Leonard, David Tomas, Jeff Sluman, Chris Dimarco, Fred Funk, Jay Haas, Charles Howell III, Jerry Kelly, and Kenny Perry. This competition was the 5th Presidents Cup Matches to be held, and it was at the Links Course at Fancourt Hotel and Country Club in George, Western Cape, South Africa. The United States and International team tied the competition 17-17, and after 3 tied playoff holes between Tiger Woods and Ernie Els it was decided that the Cup would be shared by agreement of the captains and players. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. A signed letter of provenance from Mitch Dimarco comes with this lot.

The DiMarco Collection
The DiMarco family, with 7-year-old Chris and his two older brothers Mitch and Rick, packed up their bags and moved to Florida from New York in 1975. The golf season just got longer. Chris chose to stay nearby when the prep golfing standout chose the fairways of University of Florida in Gainesville. It was only the beginning, as the 3-time All American Chris Dimarco would be headed to the PGA Tour with stops along the way and again be accompanied by his family for the trip. The DiMarco team remained close by as the main support system through Chris' career development. Throughout that career, be it individual events or international team events such as the Ryder Cup, brothers Mitch and Rick would be nearby - even on Chris' bag. When Tiger Woods was looking for an adversary, Chris stepped up to the plate in the early to mid 2000's winning three times on the PGA Tour (including Tiger's Buick Challenge in 2001) and went to a Playoff with Woods at the 2005 Masters Tournament. Great play was honored, as he was chosen for the 2004 and 2006 US Ryder Cup Teams, along with the 2003 and 2005 President's Cup Teams. Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 10:00pm EDT Sunday, May 22nd. When placing your INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm EDT
