Jim Barnes Signed Cut
The British Jim Barnes won 21 times on the PGA Tour, including the first two PGA Championships in 1916 & 1919, the US Open in 1921, and the Open Championship in 1925 at Prestwick. Here lies a strong example of his signature on a cut dated 1926 on the verso. Jim Barnes captured the title of Champion Golfer of the Year at the 1925 Open by a single stroke over fellow leading golfer Archie Compston. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
