Royal Doulton Lambeth Waisted Rim Mug - 6"
The Doulton family started making pipes and sanitary fittings in 1815, later enlisting local artists to design tableware and fine collectibles. Doulton was granted the Royal Warrant in 1901, and continues to make fine glassware to this day, now a part of the Waterford Wedgwood family. Here is a stunning lambeth with golfers around it in shallow relief, offset by the brown background and intricate leaflike designs from around the top of the handle to the top of the lambeth. This showcase piece is accented by dark brown rings around the top and bottom, tying the composition together. This pottery piece surely deserves inclusion into the finest of golf collections.
