1914 Forest Hill Field Club Vice President Cup Club Championship Trophy Won by H.V. Sturges
Bloomfield, New Jersey's Forest Hill Field Club welcomed the Metropolitan Open in 1937 and 1940, giving the professionals a crack at the tough course that only two professionals bettered par in 1940 - champion Craig Wood and a guy by the name of Ben Hogan. The 1891 established golf club would award this trophy with innovative lines to H.V. Sturges in 1914, winning the Vice President Cup Club Championship. A handle on each side, they loosely follow the trophy cup lines before jetting inward to join at the top. 7 3/4" tall, 9 1/8" width.
