Cary Middlecoff Signed Golf Glove Display with 1949-56 Nameplate

Dr. Cary Middlecoff left his position as a dentist at age 26 to become a professional golfer and never looked back, going on to win three major championships (U.S. Open in 1949, 1956 and 1955 Masters). His 40 PGA Tour tournament wins put him at tenth all-time in that regard and he leaves his autograph on this golf glove in black sharpie. This display was crafted for The Doug Sanders museum for a US Open Champion display with, with adhesive holding the glove in place and a nameplate carrying 1949 and 1956 dates.James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot. A signed letter of provenance from The Doug Sanders Museum also comes with this lot.
