Hale Irwin, Lou Graham & Jerry Pate Signed Golf Glove Display with Dated Nameplates
This display was crafted for The Doug Sanders museum, with adhesive holding the glove in place
One of the toughest of competitors both the PGA and Champions Tours have had the pleasure of watching over the last 40 years. Hale Irwin closed out three US Open titles (1974,79,90)on the regular tour and his winning has continued even as he passed 60 years of age on the senior version of the PGA
he won the 1975 U.S. Open at Medinah. Graham's Sunday round 68 at the '70 Memphis Open gave him a 276 for the week some 8 shots behind winner Dave Hill. His playing partner that day and scorer, was Larry Wood. Wood traveled the Tour until 1975 with his final career highlight being a second place finish at the Walt Disney World Open in 1972.
Pate had a distinguished amateur career before turning professional in 1975. The 1976 U.S. Open at the Atlanta Athletic Club Highlands Course was his lone major victory, where he finished two strokes ahead of Tom Weiskopf and Al Geiberger. Pate won eight times on the PGA Tour and 15 times professionally.
